About This Site

This website is the website of Wayfarer Consulting.

We strive for valid XHTML 1.0 Strict compliance, and valid CSS. That is why you see the W3C icons on each page. The W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) develops interoperable technologies to help the World Wide Web achieve its full potential.

Because we are XHTML 1.0 Strict, we do not open links on our website in new windows. This is not only in compliance with the standard, but a courtesy as well. With the capabilities of newer browsers to use tabs, a right click on a hyperlink will give the visitor the option of opening in a new window, a new tab, or several other choices. If you have a 3-button mouse and it is properly set up, clicking a hyperlink with the middle button will open the link in a new tab if the browser supports tabbed browsing.

In instances where we cannot attain valid XHTML 1.0 Strict compliance, we will settle for XHTML 1.0 Transitional compliance. This is usually on a page where we are embedding content rendered by another provider, over which we have little control. In any event, we do validate.

While Wayfarer Consulting is partial to the Firefox browser (which can be obtained at Mozilla's website), this site is designed to be easily viewed in most common browsers. You won't see a "This site viewed best with..." sentence on this site. We have tested the site on Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera and Safari. Links to these browsers can be found on the links page.
